The Highlight of our Week

This past Wednesday, my little ones got to see their great-grandmother!!
Now, how often does that happen??
What a joy.
She is 95 years old, and flew with her son
all the way from B'ham Alabama!!
She is AMAZING!!
The pastor's mom and dad hosted her for the week,
and then they drove down for the afternoon before she headed back home.
Four generations. . . all loving the Lord,
and the sweet, sweet fellowship of being together and sharing a meal.
What could be better??
Of course great-grandma HAD to bring treats for all.
All very simple things that the children loved.
And OF COURSE she brought the pastor, her grandson, his favorite. . .
apple pie and peanut brittle. YUM!!!
We love her so much,
and I am amazed that she saw, not only our house in southern California,
but this one as well.

Thank you dear Father for the Godly heritage you have given my children.
From both sides of the family.
How truly amazing that is. You are so good.

"I will open my mouth in a parable;
I will utter dark sayings from of old,
things that we have heard and known,
that our fathers have told us.
We will not hide them from their children,
but tell to the coming generation
the glorious deeds of the Lord,
 and his might,
and the wonders that he has done.
Psalm 78:2,3

My children have three great-grandparents still living,
still walking with the Lord.
The glorious deeds of the Lord,
and his might,
and the wonders that he has done,
have indeed been passed from one generations,
to the next,
to the next,
to the next.
Praise the Lord.
