Christmas Holiday Visitors

I've been decorating for Nannie and Poppie. . . 

who arrived late last night from Georgia!!! 

They will be with us about a week, 

and will be here to celebrate Ellie's birthday with us. 

My mom was very interested in seeing our tree,

my little village, nativity set, and other decorations.

She told me she had not been to our house for Christmas since Ellie

was a baby. . . that's at least 12 years! 

Now that was hard for me to believe.

We are thrilled to have them here, and have a guest room to boot :)

Of course it poured rain last night and this morning.

The clouds did brake midday for a bit,

so we piled in the car to show them around our little town, 

with hopes the mountains would be clear.

Alas, they weren't. 

 We went to the library and checked out some good books,

a favorite activity to do with Nannie. 

The rest of the day consisted of the movie Nannie Mcphee,
book reading, Monopoly playing, cookie making,
visiting, and simply being together.
It was lovely.
