It started snowing here on Saturday morning about 10 a.m.......
This is kind of a big deal to us Seattleites, as we don't see much snow.
And it is still a VERY big deal to us who NEVER saw snow in California :)
I had coffee with a friend at 2 that afternoon,
and during that hour, the snow started coming down pretty good.
I made a stop at Trader Joes on the way home,
just to stock up (along with every other local person :),
and came home to this:
The children hard at work on a Mr. and Mrs. Snowman.
We live in a very unique area, I've discovered, labeled the "convergent zone."
That means that often when it snows, we usually get larger amounts than the surrounding areas.
Lucky us...... and I truly mean that!!
The winter.... 40 degrees, rain, and darkness at 4:30 has been getting to me a bit.
Snow makes it all better, giving me a little boost to get through.
I'm so thankful.
Thank you Lord for simple joys. For cold, clean, white snow. A boost to get through the winter.
A sweet reminder of Your purity and how You cleanse us of our sins and make US pure.
I love you Lord because You are purer than the cleanest, whitest snow,
and You have the power to make me whiter than snow.
Amen
"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow."
Psalm 51:7
