I haven't had much time this past week to blog,
as we've had special visitors from California....
Aunt Heidi and Cousin Chase!
Over the next few days, I wanted to share some highlights
of our sweet time together.
In typical Northwest fashion,
it rained the whole week! I don't think my
far away family believes me when I tell them it is BEAUTIFUL
here, and often does not rain:)
The day after Chase and Heidi arrived,
we headed north to take Ellie to her horseback lessons....
and explore the country. Of course it was pouring rain when we left,
but the Lord cleared the skies as we drove and
we actually got glimpses of the mountains.
After our country nature walk,
we got in the car and headed to see the daffodil fields
that were in full bloom.
Since moving to the northwest, this is something that I have
been looking forward to seeing... the daffodils and tulips.
Actually, I had only known about the tulip fields until recently!
Boy, they were beautiful!
We explored a bit, and then continued on
north to visit Num Num and Papa's.
Chase wasn't so happy with the car ride,
but having a movie to watch sure helped.
She is so very articulate for being only two,
and kept telling us we were "going to Num Num's house."
(whom she had never met!)
The children picked up right where they had left off.
I was so thankful for that.
Chase in her sweet affectionate tone,
refers to all of my children as "cousins!"
She gets giddy when she is around them, and O how they dote on her!
I'll share more photos of our visit at Num Num's
in the next post!
Thank you Aunt Heidi and Cousin Chase for the
WONDERFUL
time we had together.
sweet. sweet. sweet. memories.
