From time to time, I want to share some of the kids' recent
nature notebook entries.
This is something that the homeschooling pioneer,
Charlotte Mason advocated doing,
and that I have really strived to keep consistent
in my schooling over the years. . .
although of course some years we have done better than others!
"If we give our children regular opportunities to get in touch
with God's creation, a habit is formed which will be a source
of delight throughout their lives."
~A Charlotte Mason Companion, p253

I love that Charlotte Mason quote. It reminds me of our Paul Tripp parenting series. He talks about getting them out in nature at a young age to give them an awe for the beauty of the earth and the creator of it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful drawings. :-)
