our new home in Edmonds

"We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner peace behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf... " Hebrews 6:19-20

I went to Walmart to buy cute drawer liners and had to buy myself a house warming gift from
the Pioneer Woman!
The day I realized our new house was two miles from this:
Gettin' her done, slowly but surely.
Home sweet home...
Creativity in action!
My boy worked so hard with me this morning!
And the painting goes on and on and on. We're gonna be so done with paint when this little place is finished, but I think its gonna be worth the pain!!
Gettin' use to her new space.
New back yard adventures...
I'm not quite sure the sweet pup is diggin' the new place yet.
Hopefully she will feel home soon!!
We woke up in a new home this morning. (6/18/16)
We are in love. So, so thankful!
And of course my dear man had to get on the roof to clean out the sky lights.
I love him!

it's the small things.. end of May beginning of June

Well good mornin'!
Exodus 3:7,8: "God said, 'I've taken a good, long look at the affliction of my people in Egypt. I've heard their cries for deliverance from their slave masters; I know all about their pain. And now I have come down to help them, pry them loose from the grip of Egypt, get them out of that country and bring them to a good land with wide-open spaces, a land lush with milk and honey...
My heart was SO happy teaching this precious group of kids.
I will never forget this year and what the Lord taught me through them!!
Trying to "pair down" our treasures because we are trusting the Father has many
more for us to find!! It sure is hard though.
I still can't quite believe that I drop my girl off to take a ferry to go see her bestie. Living in the Northwest is pretty AMAZING!!

And one more from today to remember Whit's mail from Nannie. (From her trip to Vietnam!)

 She's officially a senior!!

Abby to me this morning, "This is my song to you, Mom." gosh... I love that girl!

Lynden, Lynnwood, Edmonds 5/2-5/21

I've never seen such beautifully decorated sugar cookies, and boy they were delicious.

We are celebrating Papa today!
Basking in the country air.
Be still my heart.
Guess what we're watching?
This girl makes my heart so happy.
In so many ways she's a mini me! Isn't the Father so kind that way...
to give us "windows" into our own soul and story via our children?
I'm thankful for the privilege to educate her!!
Her newest love: sewing.
So I can remember.
I'm gonna miss taking pictures of this lovely space. I have the Les Mis tune in my head:
There's a grief that can't be spoken. There's a pain that goes on and on.
Empty chairs and empty table. Now my friends are dead and gone.
Thankful... we are just moving across town :)
Abby's last piano lesson. I am so proud of her.
It's a tradition! Third year having our piano recital in this darling little chapel.
My kids did so awesome!
"Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright." Psalm 20: 6-8
And one more from last night... (I can't help myself:)
Can you spot me and Abby?

4/9-4/30

Yes.. I'm a complete sucker for cool shots.
My sweet 11 year old's hands:
So wishing we were in Augusta! We are eating pimento cheese, egg salad, & peach ice cream
sandwiches, while drinking blue Powerade & ice cold beer to sooth our hearts..
It's a tradition like none other!!
The doggy park by the sea was calling us today.

This makes my heart so happy!!
"Yes, because God's your refuge, the High God your very own home. Evil can't get close to you, harm can't get through the door. He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you. If you stumble, they'll catch you; their job is to keep you from falling." Psalm 91: 9-11
My little shadow.
I sure hope they never grow out of having tea parties with friends.
"Beautiful things don't ask for attention." ~The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
So I can remember.

indoor and outdoor beauty

4/2/2016

I'm celebrating my Mama across the miles today!!
Isaiah 66: 12-13
I had a fun evening out with this girl, a rare treat. We had cold stone for dinner
and then saw a movie. Sweet, sweet times I want to remember.

Today's adventures ...
Living water. It does a body soooo good.
Our destination is in sight.

He has clothed me with garments of salvation.
He has robed me with robes of righteousness.
It was a BEAUTIFUL summer-like spring day!!
School outside was a must.
I have died every day
Waiting for you!!
Darlin' don't be afraid
I have loved you for a
Thousand years!!!
I'll love you for a
Thousand more.
