:: walkin' in the St. Patrick's Day parade with #3 and watchin' her street jig ::

Abby's Irish dancing school walked in the St. Patrick's Day parade last Saturday!

We didn't want her to go alone, so the pastor and I decided that one of us would walk with her....

After realizing how CRAZY it was going to be to get to the exhibition hall after the parade

(since her group was one of the first in the parade line and then to dance),

we decided it would be best for me to keep up with Abby and

for the pastor to navigate the chaotic street crowds with the car and the other

four munchkins. He did a GRAND job, parked the car, and took

the metro to meet up with us at the end. (which all 7 of us immediately hopped BACK

on to get to the performance hall.... talk about CHAOS!!!) 

When we arrived at our starting point, it was raining with a bit of snow mixed in! 

Didn't look like a very promising walk.

However, the rain stopped (of course not until it had thoroughly undone Abby's curls.... 

she's begging for a wig!!), and we had such a fun time. 

Abby's expressions in the pics above about sum up the time, I think. 

Lots of LOUD noise (there were pirates directly behind us.... who were continually blasting their canons)!

and LOTS of people and Lots of green and

 ..... I think Abby was in shock :)

She did a FABULOUS job though.... so exciting to watch my girl shine!!

Last night as my kids went to bed, I told them that when they woke up....

they would have a new cousin!!!!

Becker William

safely into the world early this morning at

1:20 a.m.

He weighed 8.7 lbs. and was 20.5 in. long.

Mama and baby, Daddy and big sister, are all doing wonderfully!

Sweet Chase is going to grow up REALLY quick,

and she is going to be such an awesome big sister. 

I'm so thankful we were able to be in San Diego when 

she was born..... but it's killing me not to be there now :)

Thankfully, I'll be going week after next for five glorious days

to help John and Heidi.... as she recovers. 

I'm so grateful and thrilled my dear husband is letting me go! 

Thank you, thank you.

About the name:

Becker is Heidi's paternal grandma's maiden name and

William is John's (and my) dad's name.....

AND to top it all off,

today is my dear grandma, Mama Jo's birthday!!!! 

Chase's middle name is after her (Josephine)

and now sweet Becker's birthday will always be a reminder 

of her life as well. 

God is SO good. 

Aunt Anna can't wait to meet you little Beck....
